Family history is more than just names and dates, it’s the story of the people and moments that shaped your family.
At Easy Tree Geneology, I take a personal approach to uncovering and presenting your family history in a way that is both accurate and engaging. By combining traditional genealogy research with modern tools and thoughtful storytelling, I work across leading platforms such as Ancestry, MyHeritage, and FamilySearch to carefully cross-reference records and build a clearer, more complete picture of your past.
The result goes beyond a simple family tree, it’s a meaningful story you can connect with, share with your family, and continue to grow for generations to come.

My journey into genealogy began at the age of 12.
Growing up in Melbourne, with parents who migrated from New Zealand and the Netherlands, I didn’t have extended family around me, no grandparents, aunts, uncles, or cousins nearby.
This absence created a strong sense of curiosity. I wanted to understand where I came from and uncover the stories that weren’t immediately visible. What started as a personal interest quickly developed into a deep passion for family history research.
Over time, that passion has grown into a professional service dedicated to helping others discover and preserve their own family stories.
I understand what it feels like to be disconnected from your wider family story.
That experience is what drives my work today, helping others uncover their history, answer important questions, and create something meaningful that can be shared with future generations.
Every family has a unique story — and discovering it can be more powerful, surprising, and rewarding than you ever imagined.

My research has taken me far beyond online databases and into real-world environments where history can be seen, touched, and experienced.
During one research experience in England, I was entrusted with a 200-year-old handwritten book, discovered hidden within the walls of a historic home. Moments like these reflect the depth, trust, and human connection that genealogy can create.

My research experience includes work across:
This includes both digital research and on-site
exploration of archives, historical locations,
and local resources.

Genealogy is a field that requires both accuracy and continuous learning.
I am currently undertaking formal study in family history research and working towards professional recognition within Australia. Alongside this, I continue to build hands-on experience through active research projects and international exploration.
Every project benefits from both dedication and a commitment to improving skills and knowledge.
While I place strong emphasis on accuracy and traditional research methods, I also believe that family history should be experienced, not simply recorded. I offer:
The aim is to create something more than a static document, a living family history that can continue to grow over time.
This short video was created from a single old photograph of my grandmother on her wedding day.
Using modern technology, I was able to bring this image to life in a simple and meaningful way. Seeing her in motion, even briefly, created a connection that a photograph alone could not.
It’s a reminder that family history is not just about records, it’s about people, moments, and stories that can still be felt today.

If you’re interested in discovering your family history or want to revitalise existing research, I’d be glad to help guide you through the process. I also offer guided sessions to help you confidently use leading genealogy tools yourself. Whether you are just starting or looking to explore further, I can help.
